Rambus Computer Engineering Fellowship

At the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - Established 1999

Dr. Michael Farmwald, an alumnus of our department, donated stock from Rambus, Inc. to the University of Illinois to be used to provide funds for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Rambus Computer Engineering Fellowship has been established to recognize a graduate student in the Computer Engineering Area for outstanding research.

Description:

This fellowship is a $5,000 fellowship for one year given to an outstanding graduate student doing research in the area of Computer Engineering.

Criteria:

  1. The student must be a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign enrolled in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
  2. The student must have demonstrated outstanding research performance in the area of Computer Engineering.

Application:

Nomination packets should consist of the following:

  1. Letter of nomination from the faculty advisor.
  2. A statement of the student's research interests.
  3. The student's resume, including a list of the student's publications

Selection Process:

Applications for the fellowship may be submitted online beginning in January of each year.
