Industry Funded Scholarships

Exelon Energy for Education Scholarships

These scholarships were given for the 2005-2006 year to four students in Electrical Engineering with an interest in Energy related areas. Exelon Corporation is one of the nation's largest electric utilities with more than $14 billion in annual revenues. It distributes electricity to approximately 5.2 million customers in Illinois and Pennsylvania, and gas to 460,000 customers in the Philadelphia area. Infosys Technologies, Ltd. Scholarship

This scholarship was given for the 2005-2006 year to a student in Computer Engineering with an emphasis on VLSI, software, algorithms, and computational science. An outstanding GPA was required. Infosys Technologies provides consulting and IT services to clients globally-as partners to conceptualize and realiz technology driven business transformation initiatives. Lam Research Corporation Scholarships

These scholarships were given by the Lam Research Corporation to two Electrical Engineering students beginning in their junior year and renewable for their senior year. The scholarships are given based on good academic standing with a demonstrated interest in physical electronics courses. Lam Research Corporation is a leading supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the worldwide semiconductor industry. The Company's innovative etch technologies empower customers to build the world's highest-performing integrated circuits. Lam's etch systems shape the microscopic conductive and dielectric layers into circuits that define a chip's final use and function. Micron University Scholarships

These are two-year scholarships that are given at the beginning of a student's junior year and continue until degree completion based on continued academic achievement. Five new scholars are selected each year for these prestigious scholarships. They are given to students with a high GPA and an interest in area associated with the work of Micron Technologies. Micron is one of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions. Micron's DRAM and Flash components are used in today's most advanced computing, networking, and communications products, including computers, workstations, servers, cell phones, wireless devices, digital cameras, and gaming systems. Procter & Gamble Scholarships

These scholarships are given by Procter & Gamble Company to two juniors or seniors in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for outstanding academic performance.
